New Game for Nintendo Wii from Spielberg and EA Games for Release in May 2008

Nintendo Wii Console

If you are a big fan of filmmaker and producer Steven Spielberg like me, then you have to know that he has collaborated with Nintendo on a three-game deal one of

which is expected to be released this May 6th.

Spielberg wits has been tapped by Nintendo to design for its worldwide hit console Wii the new game called “Boom Blox”, the first installment of the 3-game deal between him and Electronic Arts or EA Games.

The objective of the game is to

build up stacks of blocks and break them down at a rapid pace. The player then collects special blocks that fell from the debris. The game contains 300 levels with several game modes and 30 different types of blocks.

Boom Blox is really intended for the 6-12 year old kids but was found to be appealing to anyone at any age level when tested. Interestingly, the game is designed that the players can create their own rules and level so it makes it a game for all ages.

The 2nd installment game from Spielberg will focus on mystery and code-named LMNO while the 3rd is still yet to be announced by Nintendo. We will update you as soon as we have the latest scoop again.
